- Picnic and playground area with kiosk: In the museum there is a large picnic and playground area with a kiosk.
- Notice for dog owner: Dogs are welcome in our museum but must remain on a leash all the times.
- Photos in the museum: Private photographers are welcome. Please register if you wish to take photos for commercial purposes as the consent of the museum management is required.
- No smoking: Smoking is prohibited througout the museum. You will find an ashtray at the kiosk.
Information for disabled people
Visitors using a wheelchair can get to the museum through the entrance without any problems. Many farmsteads are built at street level or are accessible via ramps.
You can easily pull in the car park in front of the museum.
Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located in the entrance building.
Children’s and baggage carts
For a more enjoyable visit with children you can rent one of our carts. Fee: 2,50 €.

Free guided tours for the public in German: Daily at 2:30 pm, in August also at 11:30 am.
Free guided tours for the public in English: In July and in August daily at 1:00 pm.
Mill demonstration (in german): Daily at 11:00 am, 12:30 am and 2:00 pm.
The museum shop
Crafts by regional artisans, a large range of literature, postcards, gifts and stylish souvenirs are available for purchasee in the museum shop.
During the whole season every day from 11.00 am. to 6.00 pm.
